What is Passion?

"There is no end. There is no beginning. There is only the passion of life.”
Federico Fellini, Italian Film Director

"I am a passionate person" said the person stood on the stage in front of me.

That's odd. I thought to myself on hearing these words. Three things immediately struck me as strange.

1. The person had just spoken for 10 minutes earlier with no passion in their voice, no enthusiasm, no emotion.
2. Surely we the audience should be the judge as to whether this person is passionate or not and not themselves.
3. Isn't passion something that belongs only in the bedroom and I really don't want to know about this persons private life!

Ah well. I decided to give the person a chance and see what would happen in the next few months.

So a year went by.

Nothing, absolutely nothing happened to prove the person was a passionate leader during that year. Not a drop of evidence, not a ripple in a pond, not a raised eyebrow. Nothing.

So why the need to say we are passionate ? when we are clearly not.

Pretty much like brilliance, it's an "in" word. Has to be used by everyone to describe themselves.

But True Passion carries with it an emotional quality. An emotional quality that neatly wraps up the Desire, the Drive, the Focus, the Determination, the unfettered Self Belief to see things through. No matter what the task, how big, how small,  a Passionate person will propel themselves towards the vision, and the conclusion.

So can Passion be taught? Not really. Truth is we all may have Passion in us. It's often locked way in the inner depths of our emotional drawer. It's dormant most of the time, until we unleash it. Some unleash Passion by the bucket load and frighten the living daylights out of us. Some are more measured and display their passion in a timely manner, but its there. It's waiting for its moment.

Waiting for its curtain call. Waiting to give the Passionate performance of a life-time.

Part III - Please Give me Second Grace

In this blog is my memory. Part ecstasy, part torture. To explore, and to arrive at the start — and know the place for the first time. Here begins a new enlightenment " You are the music while the music lasts " T. S. Eliot

Repeat after me ... "There's no such thing as Bad Karma."

Yeah I wish I believed it. Really I did. This week has been so odd. Last week was brill!! It started with seeing the "Demons of Rock" Motorhead play live. Awesome stuff. Rock never Dies.!! I headbanged like I was 18 again :) Happy Happy me. Althou my neck was sore the next few days. Then this week has been so weird. Two things have happened to me. 1. I got to be around grumpy people 2. I went to yoga classes in my dinner hour. So lets do 1 first. I consider myself a happy go lucky girl. Always looking on the bright sidea life. Always ready to be friendly to any person I meet. So when I have the misfortune to meet with grumpy grumpy and im talking real grumpy people, I just wanna kill them!! I just dont get it. Whats their problem? Why cant they just go home and be grumpy there instead of inflicting it on the general public. I sometimes give them about 2 sec of my life. I say "Loser" to myself and that's it. But some how they are still annoying me just by being i...
