Things that make you go Hmmm...

" Oh yes I'm 89 years old and I still drive"

" You're 89!" I said in shock.
The 89 year lady nodded back. She was pleased that she had shocked me.

Jeepers she was was very spritely for an 89 year old. We had struck up conversation at the bus stop on saturday morning. I had run full pelt to make it to the bus stop. Convinced the bus would be there, waiting to leave as I turned the corner, but it wasnt thankgod. There was just a nice old lady waiting there.

"Phew I havent missed it!" i signed.

" No dear, i always think ive missed the bus too and have to run for it also"

Yes our dear old 89 year old had used the word "run"

We boarded the bus and through the entire journey to town I could only think:
Would I be able to run when I got to 89?
Would i ever make it to 89? Hmmm.
This weekend I bought a book on Power Drinks - Natutal Energy in a glass! ( so it says) I think the secret will lie somewhere here.
Funnily enough theres a drink called Ruby Red on page 89. A drink that is guarenteed to get you looking on the bright side of life it says.

3 tomatoes
100g of radishes
half a clove of garlic
25g of parsley
50g of sunflower seeds
sage leaves
20 drops of damiana ?

Yuk! sounds pretty bad but i'll give it a go

(Spitsbergen to me and you) http://www.ocnwide.com/ocn.htm Why go there ? i was asked many times over. Many thought i was a lunatic and very very few thought it was fantastic. In fact those few (strangers) thought i had made their day by mentioning this fact. Were they wanting shot of me?? they had only just met me... hmmm i wonder now.... The truth of it was i wanted to find inner peace, a calmness, a happiness from within. I wanted to go there and feel one with the landscape. I would go alone. so did i find it ? did i find my Utopia ? The answer - NO! and i have only myself to blame for this - for I did far too much talking, far too much laughing, far too much merry making.... But its gotta be said .. it was one of the most enjoyable times of mylife. The landscape was absolutely jaw dropping. The majestic glaciers were unbelievable. So unashamedly and unbelievably BEAUTIF...
